ADOT Advanced Optics Electronics Inc. Reports Progress in BIOMODA Inc.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., May 17, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Advanced Optics Electronics Inc.
(OTC BB:ADOT) biotech investment BIOMODA Inc. of which ADOT holds
approximately 17.5 percent reports that it has just received notification from
the Canadian government of the granting of a patent for use of Tetrakis Porphine
for the detecting and treating of lung cancer.
This is a continuation of the BIOMODA Inc. program of obtaining patents on a
global basis for its cancer detection technology. BIOMODA Inc. now holds
international patents in addition to Canada in the following countries:
Australia, Brazil, South Korea, Russia and Japan.
ADOT also reports that it has made progress in preparing for BIOMODA Inc.'s IPO
and is in the process of finalizing its preparation for its SB-2 filing.
