USD Skids To 6-Mos Low Against JPY ...
Dow Jones Market Talk - Friday at 3:42 PM

1935 GMT [Dow Jones] With sentiment toward the dollar clearly worsening, the U.S.currency has plummeted to six-month lows against the yen, with the euro the bouncing above 92 cents, seeing its best levels since October 2001. The U.S. dollar's weakness against the yen was initially prompted in overseas trading by impressive Japanese industrial production data, which showed that output in Japan rose last month by 0.8%, much more than the 0.5% the market had been expecting. In New York, solid U.S. economic data were of little help to the dollar, and the yen gained more than 2% on the day and the euro 1%. The dollar has also fallen to significant long-term lows against the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand dollars, as well as the Swiss franc. The Australian dollar hit fresh 15-month highs, while the Swiss franc - a traditional currency of refuge when the greenback shows fragility - reached its highest levels against the dollar since late September 2001. EUR is $0.9207; USD/JPY is Y125.87 (JRH)

Notice Nikkei has come off a nice double bottom formation since FEB.
