Hmm- you were responding to a post from a year ago, so I hope I;m not rushing you by answering in 2002.

I take my steak as rare as the restaurants can legally serve it. I seldom order hamburgers anymore since they aren't allowed to serve ground beef red. If one is going to sin, one should sin bravely, or whatever Luther said.
There are other barbaric behaviors in my fellow man that concern me a lot worse than meat-eating.

I have read all the terrible descriptions of slaughterhouses, but I guess years of dead animal bodies under my beds and furniture has hardened my sensibilities.

I can't tell from that article you posted, but I assume Pym Fortuyn took his steak bloody also?

I had never heard of him until the assassination. Reading those excerpts, he sounds fairly reasonable, but just a tad-- flamboyant, which often gets in the way of reasonable messages. We have tried to explain the old Book and Cover concept to our boys and why self-expression isn't always a wise choice for a job interview.

I haven't heard from Freddy in a while. Tell him hi if you see him.
