Please keep this picture in mind if US media dwell too much on anti-US protests when Mr. Bush will visit Berlin next week on May 22 and 23. The majority of Germans love the USA and don't forget how much they helped us. US support was crucial during Cold War times, especially during the airlift (see #reply-15999023 ), and also in 1989/90 when Bush sr. was the strongest supporter of German reunification, convincing a hesitating Margaret Thatcher and François Mitterand.
