In keeping with the theatrical theme of the moment, I trust it was a Tony? (Or was it Toni?) I can still faintly recall the aroma of that product. I had an aunt who was a "beauty operator" who did the "home permanent" thing on my grandmother and cousins.

At about the time of your fateful dance recital, I managed to get thru my first and last piano recital on a Sunday afternoon at the Episcopal church, playing a stirring rendition of "Barnyard Frolics". I'm sure the attendees could virtually see, and especially smell, the cows and goats and chickens.
