D3: INTC has never been too good at making the best board level end user products. They are the masters at the silicon level. I think they do things just to prototype the field and populate it with their chips - kind of like a demo starring their chips. I remember them doing this with modems and other board level "stuff". Kind of a shot across the bow saying if you don't busy and build these things with our stuff we will build it ourselves. This gambit has been very successful in leading the market their way thus far.JFD
