I don't doubt that..but it is just that your prediction. I am curious about what factors that you are taking into account. It is possible to predict many things and when they happen to go your way think that your analysis was correct, when in fact it might not have been accurate at all. Your precise attributions of the reasons for gold to decline are all plausible but really now you don't believe you hold the answer do you? It fell, and you catalogue several events that might have contributed to the decline, but realistically they are guesses and you are aware of that. I am aware of some other things like the gold carry trade and the hedging of gold by dozens of gold mines through leasing of central bank gold, and I can't tell if you seriously don't think these didn't have a very major impact.
