Congratulations to you! I think this UWB movement is a truly fantastic thing, and I remain hopeful that there are many more people out there like you who will go around these last-mile phone and cable companies, who seem to be standing in our way.
One question, did you read the Robert Cringely article in the latest Worth Magazine that just came out that says "Broadband is Dead"? I just skimmed it quickly. I think he is mostly talking about the last-mile cable and phone companies, but I need to read it again. I also recall him saying there is not much need or demand for broadband in this article, if my memory serves me. This is the same guy, however, who advised buying Yahoo when the price was sky-high, so I am not sure he is qualified to comment on this subject, or on technology in general. I also recall there being some kind of positive mention of UWB in his article. One other point he made is that content providers are not making money on it, so he seems to think the whole idea of broadband will be on hold for quite a while. Again, I am going by memory, so I could have some of my facts wrong. Perhaps someone can post the article.
I am hoping the last mile opens up and I hope that helps to jump start our tech economy. The internet has an amazing potential for increases in efficiency of many kinds, and I think the last mile bottleneck has greatly impacted the growth of tech, and is hurting the overall US economy as well.
