I am even on ALTA because I failed to sell at 4 when my shares were bought at 3 1/8... In any case: candlestick pattern for ALTA is now very bullish (even though the price action does not seem to indicate this!). In Barron, I hear that there is a very negative article on gold. I will have to buy it today. I like that because maximum pessimism is when bargain hunters come out of their closets. A positive article would not do much for gold. An example when Barron (Ableson editorial) was wrong was when Abelson talked Compaq down for 2 weeks in a row, about 8 weeks ago: result: from the 80s CPQ never went up to 125$ and never reallly looked back. Let's see the contrarians and risk takers hunt for bargain goldstocks (like ALTA!). Dave: I have the same probleM: kids will go to college and I am taking big risks at this time, and now with ALTA (40% of my portfolio, which is maxed on margin: not the thing to do... I know!
