Hi KM; Re: "It's a gamble I am willing to take with shares bought in the 5s and 6s. My guess is that everything short of Armageddon is priced in already." You already guessed that. A KM Rambus quote extravaganza:
KM, October 1, 2000, RMBS at $78.938 Hey Don: Life is too short to read through all the horse manure on this thread any more. Anything significant going on to change the story other than the usual FUD? Chart still looks okay. Sorry to be so lazy. Thanks. #reply-14491206
KM, November 14, 2000, RMBS at $62.625 Here's a snippet from Adam Lashinksy's column today quoting rather bearish comments from Edelstone regarding potential negative growth for Intel next year. Could someone tell me how he can be so bearish on Intel and so bullish on Rambus? I'm finding it hard to reconcile although Rambus is still one of my one or two favorite stocks. Its easily discernable chart patterns have sustained me through the last few days of this market BS: ... #reply-14803580 Hahahah. I thought Edelstone was better than most. They annoyed me today (MSCO) by selling a ton at 61 3/4 and soaking up a lot of buying push. Barry, I have to admit I'm pretty lazy on the fundies here right now. What's the downside, if any? Have we put to bed all this horse caca about Intel offloading the Rambus commitment? #reply-14810195
KM, November 25, 2000, RMBS at $56.750 ... On the bright side, back to the subject at hand, Rambus is setting up very nicely for a good move up it would seem. The chart is constructive. The move to 50 was quite the buying opportunity. #reply-14879231
KM, November 29, 2000, RMBS at $42.063 I just got hit at 37 1/2. Shit. Where is this going to end. #reply-14908820
KM, March 12, 2001, RMBS at $35.250 Anyone notice this has made a significantly higher low? Positive divergences are few and far between in this market but here's one. #reply-15487131
KM, March 17, 2001, RMBS at $15.800 Zeev and all: I can't read through this whole thread but thinking in a contrarian manner, at 16 or so, is Rambus appropriately priced as a company which derives its income from the sale of the RDRAM and nothing else, even though that's a worst case scenario? My guy read the opinion and opined that it was pretty bad, and appeal-proof. He's not the final authority on this but he does have experience in those courts. They're "zeroed out" was his term. But, it's still just one case. I'm thinking about a pure speculative play in some cheap calls. Everytime Rambus is declared DOA and the funeral is held, there seems to be yet another monster squeeze in the offing. ... #reply-15520435
KM, April 30, 2001, RMBS at $17.000 Now that will probably present us with the buying opportunity we've been waiting for. I guess the question now is, what happens to the other deals they have for royalties with other parties and what is fair value for the stock for RDRAM only. That's something I can't figure out any more. Maybe someone can help me there. #reply-15736807
