7:22AM Adelphia related party deals probed by Feds-- WSJ (ADLAE) 5.70: The Wall Street Journal says that Federal prosecutors conducting criminal investigations into ADLAE are focusing on a number of questionable related-party transactions and possible accounting irregularities involving the co's founding Rigas family; authorities are looking into transactions involving a small furniture shop owned by the Rigases, a golf course built by the Rigas family, loans given to senior corporate officers, and an ADLAE agreement for timber rights to land owned by the Rigases.

7:15AM Computer Assoc revenue probed by Fed officials-- WSJ (CA) 17.56: The Wall Street Journal reports that the Justice Dept and the SEC are trying to determine whether CA wrongly booked over $500 mln in rev in FY98-99 as part of a scheme to enrich the co's senior managers.

7:09AM Energy companies may have inflated natural gas trades-- WSJ : The Wall Street Journal reports that amid recent disclosures that energy co's artificially boosted electricity-trading volumes and rev, evidence has emerged that similar transactions occurred in the even larger market for natural-gas trading.
