Not making that accusation or claim.

Can you name a company that has bought 40,000 MS Office licences at $500 apiece?

I suggest that desktop office productivity software is not a commodity and that choosing the software with the lowest cost of deployment and maintenance accounts for more dollars than the purchase price.

I believe that MS software is expensive and welcome competition and hope that it drives the prices down as we have seen with hardware. I don't think StarOffice will do very well in the corporate world because of the difficulty of mass deployment.

Hopefully, it will do well in the home and small business market. That will enable and encourage Sun to develop it further and make a better assault on MS Office in the corporate market.

Now are you going to name an example of this 40000 seat company or not?
