You do not need to locate the "folder" on XP for Outlook. Just move the e-mails to a directory on that system. Then go into your e-mail program on XP, place this side-by-side together with Windows Explorer, and then drag and drop the e-mails from Windows Explorer into the "Inbox" or whatever folder that is displayed in your e-mail program, where you wish to place the e-mails. And I would think you should be able to use this same approach for moving e-mails from your old system to the directory on the new system. But I do not know what it is like with NT. So I may be not understanding everything you are experiencing.

"Drag and drop" technology is one kudo I give for Microsoft. Another is the COM component. And another is turning out to be the .NET Framework. But time will tell. Once the second release of Windows XP comes out, I will add Windows XP to this list. Much of the technology from Microsoft is very good. But their implementation of their own technology can leave much to be desired. However, eventually they do manage to work out most (but not all) of the shortcomings and bugs.
