Hi David,

I'm delighted to find out about your involvement with ISEE.
To me, the concepts of accounting for the depletion of the planet, and questions of sustainability have been dramatically overlooked in traditional economics.

I found it of interest that Elsevier shows the journal article on ecotourism to be the most cited. We have a local angle on that. Duke Power recently proposed a gas fired electrical generation station here. This area is noted as a haven for tourism, with wonderful natural amenities. Our county commissioners wisely decided to terminate negotiations on the plant, much to the delight and relief of thousands of local citizens. Ecological economics at work. <g>

BTW, I'm curious about your statement about Rennsalear in Washington, D.C. The main campus is in Troy, NY. Is there a separate campus in Washington?

-R.
