Hey, JL, I appreciate the "<g>".
But by calling people 'Anti-American' who are probably just as loving of their country and 'soccer-momish' as you ever could be... but who happen to disagree with your particular slant on politics... or policy... or economics... or religion... or how to make the World a better place, or whatever, aren't you tearing down the very American principles you probably value the most?
These people you cuss at might be foolish... or ignorant... or misguided... or ill-informed... or weak when it comes to reasoning... in fact, they might be 'wrong' while you are 'right', but calling people slobs and miscreants and Anti-American perverts (unless you can reveal facts that *prove* those charges, LOL) are likely only to lose supporters from your banner, instead of gaining them.
After-all, free speech is one of the most cherished of American values.
And, even if you can *prove* that your opponents are of low birth, virtue-less, and would even elevate pond scum by comparison... Argument Ad-Hominem (shooting the messenger, rather than the message) has never been a proof of anything :) |
