god!

you know i went to new york in december. having nothing to do the first night i wandered into smith and wollenskies, and managed to actually get a table for myself in the bar where the wall street boys were hanging out in full force. about ten tables plus a hoard swilling. i sat through three tables next to me before i finally broke in and politely asked, guys, i gotta know. what are you all bullish about. one was a venture cap, another a reit guy, another a lawyer doing a bit of both and blah blah blah. they gave me their spiel about the fed printing us out of it, and valuations are fine so on and so on. then they said, what do you think. who are you.

I said: my names Joe, and I'm the big bad bear from Houston. they laughed. then i gave them my spiel. after that they gave me their business cards and started calling me Joe Black. the reit guy was the bro of the venture guy, and they were celebrating his upcoming wedding. i wrote down my then gold list and handed it to him with a note on the bottom that said, "buy this shit", said good nite and went to the hotel feeling like Rocky.

i haven't called these guys yet. but it was a very interesting moment out of the blue, and unplanned.
and a true story.

if he bought the list, he'd be up about 300% or more I figure.
