Ibexx. Yes, another split in 1997 is unlikely to happen
based on the MSFT's previous record.
It looks like that we are going to see MSFT trading from
130 to 160 without splitting for the rest of 2nd half,
and maybe early 1998. However, I do believe that the split
should not come later than the end of 1QFY98.I have finished
my LEAP positions in MSFT, and am lookingfor another right
timing to add INTC LEAPs. I have a strong
feeling that INTC's underdog days (this year) are going to
end before the end of 3rd quarter. After Intel-HP-Rambus
painting out the roadmap of Merced at Oct's "Microprocessor
Forum", the hyped threat from AMD and Cyrix is going to be
wiped out. From what I know, Merced project is on track.
I don't know about AMD's K7 project's current status right
now, but it looks that K7 project is conducted by the
original K5 team. Well, this adds more uncertainty of
K7.
