Joe, your comments are correct, but you are making a very big assumption. You are assuming that Novell wants to succeed. And this is a flawed assumption, logically speaking. I did an avanced query using Altavista. My query was <Novell near success>.

This is the result: Documents 1-10 of 40 matching the query, in no particular order.

So, 40 articles in the entire WWW that indicate that Novell is near success.

Therefore, your basic assumption is flawed. You have always assumed that Novell wants to achieve success. You might want to reconsider your assumption based on Novell's actions, and based on the results from the WWW query. Novell is not anywhere near success, and has no intentions of moving there. Why spend money on PR, if PR brings you something you do not want to have or be near?
