Hi Baldur,

I like Spitzer and think he is doing a good job. He's just announced a settlement with Merrill/Lynch.

There is some good discussion about the significance of foreign capital not flowing into the US capital markets at "John Pitera's Market Lab" here at SI. Inflows certainly aren't growing any longer. But they also aren't falling precipitously. I don't see any big moves for the USD vis a vis the Yen or Euro in the short run. Though rumors that O'Neil may be interested in weakening the dollar are intriguing. It would be good news for my friends in manufacturing, but lousy for Wall Street, so I can't see it happening.

All the best, Ray
