I view DELL as striving to become to the PC industry what Toyota is to the auto industry: A purveyor of superior products at competitive cost.

There are few such companies in the world, they are all industry leaders, and they all survive on a long term basis and create value for their shareholders in the long run despite commoditized markets. I don't currently own their shares but I would not hesitate to consider them for a LTBH account despite the fact that it is not the best industry to make huge profits in.
