Andrzej, I want to add my observations from SIA Exhibition in NY, which I visited couple weeks ago. There were three software packages which could compete with IT. Real TickIII - good working but developed 5 years ago and looks ancient not very friendly and originally under DOS. AT attitude looks a little better but people selling this service, present it the way I wanted just run away, they don't tell full price and additional charges come and come out and its impossible to get full list of them. And the best one is Aspen. It does whatever one can imagine. But if IT could create all features Aspen does, I'd for sure choose IT, because it much easier and faster to operate. Aspen could be rented for $150 a month but data feed from S&P comstock extra, it doesn't have NASDAQ LEVELII (they said would be added by 1998) and altogether coming to $350 a month which is way too much. Aspen, I think was created under UNIX and adapted to Windows so interface looks a little strange. At this moment, if to close eyes on price, I'd use Aspen, but dynamically they have used all potentials and if Papyrus will keep up, they could be the best within reasonable time. Michael. |
