DJ: stock prices are neither directly proportional to earnings or SE. I wish stockholders pay more attention to these, PEG, and SEG. Whether it is real estate or stocks, the price is what the market bears. What I am calling for prudence and equitable distribution. The true thing stockholders own is properly stated SE. In the economic terms if SE is the stock, RE is the flow. If you pay proper respect to property ownership RE should directly flow into SE. If you want the stockholders to part with some of this you better take permission in practical intervals. The more stability in showing respect to the property of stockholders you can give the more respect management will command.
If you want to gamble outside the operations with my money be prudent about it, open about it, and take my permission. I am already trusting you (management) a lot in running operations including money management. Give me atleast some control on what I already own.
If I can't have confidence in the management in protecting my SE, how can I have confidence with the rest.
