I had no idea you were such romantic softies up there!
Most everything down here seems to be about sex.
We were watching last night this show called Must Watch TV... I missed a lot, so am not sure what the point was- but they were talking about Thurs night shows, I think, and I felt so-- unAmerican. I had never watched most of them.
Or even heard of them. Except Cheers, and Hill Street.
HIll Street I watched religiously.
Terrible Parent Confession!
CW was a kid who refused to sleep at normal times, and the only way he would go to bed was if I stayed with him after books were read and lights out. We bought him a double brass bed, so I had room to lie down too, and there was a TV in his room and I watched whatever was on, warm and comfortable in the dark, cuddled up with my sweet boy.
This poor three year old was exposed to every HIll Street and Cagney and Lacy episode ever written.
He never watches tv today-- I wonder if that's why.
But last night, when they showed old Hill Street scenes, I got all teary over Renko and Bobby Hill, remembering the nights I watched it with my baby at my side. |
