Underground costs are higher per tonne, but you only move the material you want to move, leaving the waste behind.

There are lots of underground mines in the NT, including very deep gold mines that operate around cash costs of US$75 per tonne, to base metal mines that work down to about half that.

Any idea what the higher-grade resource might look like?
