Clap,

Spitzer got his name in headlines with many more beasts to tame. Merrill temporarily not in headlines for fraudulent treatment of clients and public, until the next state AG with a budget crisis (49 to choose from) decides to slay the dragon again.

The next AG to tackle this beast will push harder for a trial to make own headlines, IMHO. NOt to mention the numerous followers of Henry Blodget (with aggressive lawyers) who lost big $$ following his touts while he referred to those companies privately as trash.

White collar crime NEVER gets the same punishment. With that said, the Gruntal jerk should have his head handed to him if allegations are true; no different than embezzlement of $500k by any fiduciary.

Strange days indeed.
