Hi WD. I am quite aware of the biased nature of IR, be it Judy R or anyone else. I'm not sure if your response was directed at me or everyone in general but you raise a good point. Be very carefull of what you read on SI (or anywhere else for that matter). Always assume that a poster has a vested interest (don't we all) and may be a paid promoter, professional shorter, broker, competition, etc....

In my limited discussions with Judy R. she has always been very honest and upfront. In the past other IR reps have posted on SI without even identifying themselves and their relationship with the company they are promoting. Judy has been upfront with everyone from the start, both here and previously on the KRT thread.

I always discount what IR people tell me, especially as it relates to timing of news releases, drilling, etc. However, this does not make their role and information completely worthless. They can provide new investors/speculators information and pkges, and keep ones updated.

When you talk to a company's IR ask some specific questions about their role with the company (i.e. how long they have been there, how are they compensated).

Use them like a sponge to gather info to make your own investment decisions. If an IR rep sounds too hypish and over positive then be careful. If they ask you how many shares you own and other personal info then also be very careful. Of course you do not have to give out this information to receive IR material from the company.
