You are assuming that we can cut back on consumption sufficiently to not need Middle Eastern oil without affecting economic growth. That is simply not true.

Of course there is an after-effect from acts of terror on the economy. However, it is a great deal different than the kind of stalling of the world economy that we would see if petroleum became scarcer, as would happen by taking about a quarter of world reserves out of the game.

My narrative is the essence of common sense. Nor does it deny that there are solutions, merely that your ranting about petrodollars is irrelevant.....
