David - everyone can win with this. msft is interested in operating system and content, not the bandwidth which athm can provide with its cable partners. Msft now, indirectly holds 0.5% of athm (or about as much as intc is rumored to) via msft ownership of comcast and comcasts ownership of athm. The way I see it: bandwidth is limitation - solution by athm this enables greater content and creates need for faster computers and operating systems (winners msft, intc, rmbs) also gives more credence to net pcs (pc makers win)for those who want info but not necessarily the graphics, video, etc. A real paradigm shift.
