TJ, Accumlation/Distribution was developed by Larry Williams, a well know futures and S & P trader. However, someone is always trying to develop a new indicator which can better track buying and selling. The grandaddy of these indicators is OBV( on balance volume) which was developed by Joe Granville. Now there are many others including Money Flow, Accum/Distrib and others. Many of the most popular software packages include some form of these. I use TC2000, a DOS based package, and SuperCharts for Windows which reads the TC2000 quotes. TC has its own proprietary measures which are also useful. TC2000 is a very cheap pkg, however, you must use their data vendor service. Wall Street Analyst, is also very inexpensive and includes many great features. There are others too which are more elaborate, but you definitely need software to do it, especially if you scan a lot of stocks everyday. I hope this gives you some ideas to work from. Good Luck.
