No offense in the least. You're right about the English being Germanic, and the ones that aren't are probably descended from Franks, also a Germanic tribe. The Irish mingled, more or less willingly, with the Norse, also Germanic. Definitely warlike. My husband, his brother, and my kids all love to play war games, and my husband and his brother read about war all the time.
