I have a Linskys Wireless AP + cable router with 4-port switch. Since I have installed it, I have learned some unexpected stuff, and I'm not clear exactly what is happening. So I started this thread.

I currently run three PCs hardwired to the hybrid wired / wireless router, and three wireless laptop PCs on this network.

I sincerely hope that a networking technical guru shows up on the thread to help us understand our unexpected roles as home networking "system administrators'.

My initial priority is to enable my use of MSN voice messaging, PcAnywhere, and NetMeeting from behind the NAT firewall installed by the Linksys software.

Thoughts?

Good Investing,
