waverider- if you had followed the "trend" on QCOM in,say, December of 1999, you wouldn't have done so well. Not everything goes up, or down,forever.Your focus on the rear view mirror is unquestionably part of the equation. If you'd look in the windshield every now and then, you will see the growing body of evidence that EVERTHING Dr. J has told us about the technology is true, and that the marketplace is starting to vote with its feet.

perhaps for some metaphysical reason, these trends do not set the table for long term growth.

but remember. Virtually every financial model for QCOM presumes the continuing competitive viability of the non-1X carrier. Its too early to tell, but early indicators are not promising for the dinosaurs.
