No you moron. The eight fold increase would have destroyed their stupid short selling. WHat is it that you don't understand? Get a grip man, the price moves in very significant amounts over periods like 1970-1980 because it has been depressed. And when it is released from the artifical suppression it explodes upward in price to find a new equilibrium. In the seventies it was coming off the London GOld Pool suppression and now off the manipulation by the monetary authorities and the heavy hedgeing of the gold producers. It is likly to go up a proportionate amount or eight fold. THat would be a price which would bankrupt Barrick. What part of simple economic sense and mathmatics do you not understand. Your arguement on this point is naive to the point of silliness.
