You can get Kronenburg in Canada and the US if you look for it. It is rumoured to be the best beer in world. I don't know, but it is very good. The best I ever tasted was a homebrewed ale in Toronto, but I never ran into it again. You will never get as much head as you do on a good homebrew, but good homebrews are rare.

What you don't get in beers these days that makes all the difference is fresh and brewed with good water. We have the best water in the world in Canada but we brew beer in southern Ontario which has lousy tasting hard water. Toronto is yuck! The north is where to brew it. I know some places that have unusually pure, good tasting spring water. (Lowest chlorine added in Canada) It will stand for days. The pop made here tastes different than elsewhere, and it is good. It would take about one million to start a good brewery. But all the money is in distribution and advertising. (sigh)
