FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 2002--Xybernaut(R) Corporation (NASDAQ:XYBR), a leading provider of wearable and mobile computing solutions, is one of ten U.S. companies that has been selected to participate Friday in an Information Technology (IT) Roundtable in Moscow, which is being held in conjunction with the Moscow Summit between Russian President Vladimir V. Putin and President George W. Bush.

Representing Xybernaut at the meeting of senior Russian and U.S. IT sector executives and government officials will be Xybernaut Vice Chairman, Dr. Steven Newman. Roundtable participants will discuss and identify existing investment and two-way trade opportunities and recommend steps to be taken by both governments to enhance these opportunities.

Xybernaut was invited to the roundtable by the Ministry for Communications and Information of the Russian Federation because of its technology leadership in wearable and mobile computing. The Company's international customers range from corporations to government organizations to individual consumers.

The IT roundtable was organized by the Russian American Business Dialogue, the Ministry for Communications and Information of the Russian Federation, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia with the support of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Objectives related to the Information Technology Roundtable include:

- Discuss the new environment for promoting U.S.-Russian trade,

cooperation and investment in the IT sector

- Identify challenges and opportunities for two-way trade

relations

- Prepare a list of policy recommendations for the Russian and

U.S. Presidents

"The new political climate and closer relationship between the Russian and U.S. Presidents present unique opportunities to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and U.S. companies in the areas of information technology and security," stated Dr. Newman.
