It's really not as bad as it sounds. Though I *love* Japanese food. The only time I was in Japan was changing planes at Narita....but I flew in from India on Japan Air and out to Chicago on one of the other Jap carriers. On the flight to Japan I chose the Japanese menu on the plane (I had a flight attendant all to myself <g>) and she asked me if I was sure and I said yes. They brought me food which, other than the sushi, I didn't even recognize, but it was all good.
