milo, If Intel does not include x86-64 in Prescott (which at this point seems like a very long shot), it is a good news for Hammer. Banias will most likely not be 64 bit. I don't know what's next on Intel's roadmap which could include x86-64, but it now looks that AMD will have at least 1 to 2 year lead in x86-64, or some 50 million units. This should be a critical mass, and should be enough for Microsoft to tell Intel that Intel's x86-64 has to be compatible with AMD's, or it will not get MSFT's support. Joe
