My "non-Rogue Wave/Event" POG - Secular Bull Mkt target is $450-$475

From 1980 to 1997; Gold traded consistantly between $350 to $475...and we know what has happened to "real" prices and the purchasing power of the US Dollar since then.

[ click the 1975 to present chart ]

In 1983 and agin in 1988 Gold pierced $475...and for much of the period from 1975 to 1997...$350ish POG was basically support.

Given the ramping US Money Supply, our current account deficit and the longterm War on Terrorism - which virtually guarantee's some degree of a "risk premium"...and factoring in either the inevitable "unwinding" of the Gold Carry Trade Shorts, or the potential of a complete "derivatives" meltdown... I think we "realistically" see $450 to $475 POG

$60 NEM anyone (vbg) ?
