Gottfried, the latest report showing an increase in chip sales should be viewed with caution. All of the dollar value of the increase resulted from a temporary blip in DRAM prices, not an increase in the quantity of chips sold. Other than DRAM, sales were flat. Now that DRAM prices have fallen, the next report on chip sales may actually show a downturn.
