There is a principle in Islam known as Takiya, the right to fake peace when you are weak for the purposes of defeating your enemy when you are stronger.
Interestingly, the Muslim Palestinians did not take this tack in 1947, even though they were clearly weaker. Either they weren't true Muslims, or Joseph Farah is full of crap. Regardless, while the Muslims were stating their true intentions publicly, it was the Jews who were plotting in secret.
