Zeev, I've been looking at the problem of replacing EMLX in the Q. To come up with candidates, I ran a Scan for NASDAQ stocks, with an average daily volume over the past year of >500,000 and a minimum daily range over the past year of greater than $1.00.
Only 8 stocks made the cut: CCMP, CEPH, EBAY, IDPH, MXIM, MYGN, NVDA, QLGC. (I will omit QLGC from further discussion for obvious reasons.)
Ticker: Today's Close (TC): $1.00 as % of TC: =================================================== CCMP 50.12 1.99 CEPH 58.41 1.71 EBAY 58.68 1.70 IDPH 47.30 2.11 MXIM 50.21 1.99 MYGN 25.36 3.94 NVDA 35.73 2.8
MYGN clearly gives you the biggest possible bang for the buck, on a percentage basis, but it has two negatives vis-a-vis second-place finisher NVDA; it's a BIO, so it's likely to crater soon, (tough to play the long side of a falling elevator), and it has a daily volume of "only" 830k compared to NVDA's 10 million plus.
I don't know whether MYGN has the aforementioned "latency" problem, (or even how to figure it out), but here's a "perf" chart of the NAS, the current Q stocks, plus MYGN and NVDA for your fun and enjoyment. <g> stockcharts.com
