THe quantihurtz rating was based on the Tbird performance. I think a 3Ghz TBird would eat a 3Ghz NW alive. I don't know why you think otherwise. The Quantihurts performance rating for a TBird was relative to a Palomino. So if the rating system holds true, 3400+ is the performance that would equal a 3.4GHz Palomino, and that doesn't even use SPEC as the measure. So a 3GHz NW with a 533MHz FSB would almost certainly beat a 3.4GHz Palomino, meaning that unless AMD actually defines what they mean about a 3400+ Hammer (something they have refused to do), it's logical to conclude a Hammer will probably not beat a NorthWood. You guys believe the hype but I don't. EP
