No one ridicules for feeling proud of the country, or even the president.
It's fine to feel good. I know the feeling. Not recently, tho'
It isn't personal against you, to disagree with you. It is the situation, the facts, the suspicion that things aren't right, and the arrogance of power. It isn't your fault, and it isn't an unusual occurance, it happens throughout history. Unfortunately, we're in one of those historic periods, where the ruling group appears to many to be hiding lots of bad things.
If not, then your feelings of pride can be vindicated. But, for me, my pride is in the American people, not their servants, who, after all, are only human and some no doubt all too human...
Your terms of language don't easily admit any sincere disagreement with the administration. |
