My wife and I were watching "Hardball" tonight. She posed a question to me concerning the FBI's-administration's mishandling of the pre-9-11 evidence, etc. I cautioned her that such questions are now off-limits. True patriots do not question the administration. True patriots do not call for independent 9-11 investigations. True patriots believe everything the Imperial Presidency and Dick Cheney tell them. Tough questions must not be asked "because we are at war" (and we likely will remain "at war" for the next seven years.) "Anyone who questions anything Bush does or Cheney says is a traitor to the United States," I told her. "Only traitors ask questions when we are at war."
