Re: Dan3 obviously hasn't noticed, but have you? Intel is raising their desktop ASPs slowly but surely with their high end processors. I've posted the same thing. As Intel's server ASPs fall, and their mobile ASPs fall even faster (both due to competition from AMD) they have no choice but to raise desktop ASPs to make up for it. The resulting "price umbrella" is letting AMD maintain share in the desktop market, despite Intel now offering 3 speed grades higher than any AMD has at present.
