Now, the unlimited covert manipulations that they may have engaged in, and may have thought were going to stay covert, will emerge, and if they exist, will condemn with a scarlet "C" on the foreheads of all perpetrators.
The stonewalling only reinforces the suspicion. I'd love to see everyone find out the truth, even if it were a boring "well, a few things were bad, but basically they mean well, and might succeed". But ferocious concealment attempts makes it seem the stakes are much higher. |
