The character issue is more to the Republican agenda than they would like to believe, both before, and after this last election.

Attacking Clinton in a wave of political pornography that assailed my morning newspaper for months, is something I won't forgive the radical power-driven Republicans for.

I didn't vote for Clinton either time, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't his decision to envelope America in pornographic discussions of his sex life.

Now, the unlimited covert manipulations that they may have engaged in, and may have thought were going to stay covert, will emerge, and if they exist, will condemn with a scarlet "C" on the foreheads of all perpetrators.

The stonewalling only reinforces the suspicion. I'd love to see everyone find out the truth, even if it were a boring "well, a few things were bad, but basically they mean well, and might succeed". But ferocious concealment attempts makes it seem the stakes are much higher.
