Just because PDG said LC is uneconomic, doesn't make it so. Were that the case, a combination of Brisas and Las Cristinas wouldn't makes any sense because the average grade will/would be lower. Other than that, do you have any other reason(s) why Las Cristinas can't stand on it's own? I'd certainly like to know.

Oh, as an added note, even when PDG said LC was uneconomic, they never retracted their PR's citing overall costs which could have provided a decent profit. Later they corrected their versions of the lie to reflect that LC "does not meet our expectations for the investment involved," acknowledging, at least, that it might be attractive and profitable to another company (even back then when the POG was in the $240 to $280 range).
