AB - Thanks. We need to be reminded epsecially now. I can remember earnigns estimates of up to $4 not so long ago but now these seem to be distant memories.

All we hear about these days is 90c or thereabouts provided they don't have a slowdown in China or Korea. There was a time when China wsn't even included in the future estimates nd they were still OK with rapid growth. Now China is essential.

Stilol this is Memorial weekend and it brings us one weekend closer to the PCS 1x release which has particular significance for me and my family since that is what we are waiting for in order to replace the Thinphone. I guess there are many more like me out there.

A few months ago the Chinese announced that they expected thier handset production to increase until by 04 or 05 it would be at around 170m or so pa ie about 1/3 of what they said would be the annual global handset sale number. I never believed that number and I said so at the time.

1X is for the most part a relacement sale and once sold I wonder what the replacement cycle will be with 1X handsets.

MSFT may have sold less indidual units but they earned their OS fees on each one and then had regular releases of new Windows. I ahve been a customer of 3.1, 95, 98, ME, 2000 and now XP twice that is probably since 94 and I have upgraded my computers several times as well so I don't know how many times I have paid MSFT during that time but lets say more than 10 times.

Thats how MSFT got to have the market cap it does. Q will sell more units but their bite per unit is probably less than MSFTs and the replacment cycle is going to be longer since it seems ot me that once yuo've got a 1X pda/cellhpone why change it?

Which all comes back to earnings. If they can get a piece of the service revenue for the providers riding BREW then that will make a huge difference.

Best,

L
