Officers don't win battles, soldiers do, the legion has a large number of Bedouins, and they are first class soldiers. The Israeli also have Bedouins serving in the IDF, and I am told by people who knows that they are indeed first class soldiers, I am not surprised at all. The IDF just instituted a special educational program for its Bedouin soldiers, to correct for the less than perfect education they get in their youth (tough to conduct serious studies in the tent, when the goats are clacking around all the time <g>).
