Rhetoric from both Govts. for local consumption have been such that I think they have now people in a frenzy..

Theoretically, you'd think that this engagement if it starts should be confined to Kashmir region.. Unfortunately, I don't think that is how it will be played out.. Let us face it.. India is the stronger of the two and will have the upper hand in a conventional conflict.. If it is confined to Kashmir region, I don't think it will escalate but if they open up many fronts then there is a chance of things getting ugly..

I think India, realizing that Pakistan cannot really match it, and if push comes to shove, will not really get any support from say USA and since Indian population now wants a conflict (specially under this particular brand of Govt.), will probably go into Kashmir.. Now that every one has been essentially painted as Terrorists, they'll borrow a page from Israel.. I read some where that in all out conventional conflict Pakistan can put up 4-5 days of fight since they do not really have a home grown defense industry..

Let's hope cooler heads prevail but does not look like it..Too many people are too psyched up about it..
